Are there anyone among us who does not love parties and the fun and excitement that they bring? Yes, almost all of us love parties unless we are phobic to parties. There is no specific time or place that can be defined as the best place and time for parties. Anytime can be a party time and we can arrange for parties almost anywhere as long as we have the means and as long as it matches people’s tastes. You can arrange party in your own house or rent a hall for the party, it can be indoors or it can be an open terrace party or it can be in your lawn. So there is no hard and fast rule regarding where the party has to be the party has to be held. It is totally up to the creativity of the host.
Holiday season is the best time for parties as everyone will be relaxed and will have time for your party. When people are relaxed, they will be able to appreciate your party more. Hosting a holiday party is not that easy it involves a lot of time, efforts, money and planning. When you want to throw a party you must make a checklist on the items to be covered. Here is a typical check list for a holiday party.
1. First of all you need to finalize a theme for your party. Parties with a theme are more meaningful. Besides that it also gives you and your guests a reason for the party.
2. Budget for the party – As soon as you plan for a party you need to set aside a certain budget for the party. You need to finalize your budget based on your current financial status. You should not host a party if your financial state should be unstable.
3. List or estimate the number of participants and whether it is going to include friends from your office, neighborhood, etc.
4. Decide about the nature of the participants whether it is going to be a male only party, female only party, adults only party or a mixed group party. If it is going to be a male only or adults only party then you need to decide whether there are going to be any adult only stuff such as private strip shows etc?
5. Decide where the party is going to be held indoors, outdoors, at your residence or in a rented hall.
6. If it is going to be at your home, then what kind of party decorations is going to be there? Do you already have a party decoration kit or should it be included in the shopping list?
7. Whether it is going to be self catered party or are you going to order food for the party, or is it going to be a ‘bring your own’ kind of party?
8. How people are going to be invited, whether it is going to be over the phone, party invitation cards or emails?
9. What is the nature of the party games that are going to be organized and what are the things that you would need for these games?
10. And finally, are you really up to it?
